At our facilities before and after each major personnel shift, we conduct regular wipe downs, floor mopping, sprays, and other sanitization practices (“Cleaning”) using materials, liquids, and disinfectants as approved by recent Health Canada guidelines.

These Cleaning and containment practices include, but are not limited to:


Facilities and Operations (Operational/Shift Checklist)

  • Sectional mopping of all hanger floors

  • All door handles and major touch areas

  • All computer terminals and Monitors

  • All desks and high traffic counters

  • All radio equipment and telephones

  • All tools and equipment used

All Aircraft (Pre and Post Flight Cleaning Checklist)


  • All major surfaces of access panels

  • All cloth seating and armrests

  • All baggage related storage areas

  • All center cabin walkways

  • Cockpit  control surface areas

  • Cockpit control panels and avionics

All Aircraft (Stored in Hanger for Later Use)


  • Post Flight Cleaning Checklist Applied

  • Access doorway taped over entry handle

  • Tape marks the time and date of Cleaning

  • Aircraft secured from access once taped 

  • Security tape removed pre-flight only

All Supplies Cargo for Air Transport


  • Only staff can board aircraft

  • All Cargo surface areas wiped 

  • Cargo received in a separate area

  • Post-Flight Cleaning Checklist Applied 

Our READY BC internal best practices on cleaning and other safety procedures have been created pursuant to recommendations and guidelines as published by the Government of Canada.


Any persons entering our facilities and any persons boarding our aircraft with luggage or equipment are required to conduct self-cleaning practices (“Self-Cleaning”) using disinfectants and hand sanitizers as approved by recent Health Canada guidelines.


Also, all individuals are required to adhere to social distancing and other safety guidelines as published by the BC Center for Disease Control.

These Self-Cleaning and other safety practices include but are not limited to:

  • Wash hands at appointed wash station

  • Wipe down mobile phones and laptops

  • Wipe down of backpacks and jackets 

  • Shoe soles wiped down before entry

  • Wear gloves on shared terminals 

  • Social distancing of 6FT or 1.83M

All READY BC First Responders and Priority Travelers should arrive for check-in 45 minutes before each flight to conduct our safety Pre-Boarding Checklist as described. 

All Pilots, Aircrew, and Passengers (Pre-Boarding Checklist)


  • Wash hands at appointed wash station

  • Wipe down mobile phones and devices

  • Wipe down all luggage and equipment  

  • Shoe soles wiped down before boarding

  • Gloves and face masks (during flight)

  • Social distancing of 6FT or 1.83M

We have modified our aircraft seating capacity to a maximum of 6 passengers to provide more distance per passenger. Disposable gloves and masks (as available), will be provided during each flight. Aircrew personnel has the right to deny boarding to any persons at our sole discretion.


We have adopted Part 2 – Health Check and Questionnaire for Health Check practices on managing travelers and check-in procedures pursuant to Transport Canada Interim Order Sub-section 6.41(1) of the Aeronautics Act.
